Best DPS in Anime Crusaders
Pick one carry per targeting class. Three overlapping Ground DPS is not a damage plan.
Damage units win Story bosses and hold Infinite past the wave where farm units fall off. This page ranks DPS only. Supports live on best support. Full names sit on the tier list hub.
Hill carries
Hill tiles see flyers and often have better range lines. Cell (ULTRA PERFECT) and Goko (Perfected Ultimate) are the current Hill names people actually place. Freeran (Timeless Mage) and Soi Fun (Death Sting) cover maps that punish short range. Golden Spirit (Divine) is the premium Hill if you own the evo.
If you do not own any of those, a Golden Freezo or base Goko still clears early Hill jobs. Evolve them with the evolution guide before you spend Divine Tokens.
Ground carries
Sun Woo (System) remains the shadow-summon Ground carry when you can afford the upgrade curve. Ichi (Masked Vizard), Vejita (Ultimate Majin), Esdead, Powaa, and Maki (Authority) are the Update 4–6 Ground names that replaced a lot of launch Legendaries. Sin (Seven Seas) and Rookie (Rising Adventurer) fill maps that want a long lane, not a clump.
Toju-style bleed units and Haein-style sword units from older lists still work as budget Ground. They are not what you spend pity on.
Hybrid carries
Beyond Heaven, Sun God vs Dragon, Vegeto, Ayzen (Perfect), Phoenix (Rebirth), Gilgamesh, and Twenty One exist so you can cover a messy map with fewer placements. Hybrids are expensive. Place one. Do not fill every tile with Hybrid because a thumbnail said “meta.”
Brulo (Rage) and Shadow (Atomic) from older S-tiers remain fine Hybrid-adjacent damage if you already evolved them. Do not reroll a new account toward them if the current banner is a named Hybrid above.
How many DPS do you need?
Two. One that hits air, one that deletes the lane. A third DPS only happens after a farm unit and a buffer are down. See team slots and best teams.
Spend Gems on the role you lack. If your Hill is empty, a Ground Secret does not fix the leak. Confirm targeting on placement before you evolve.
Beginners should open beginner units instead of this page. Chasing Cell before you own a farm unit is how Infinite dies at wave twenty.
Upgrade curves
Some carries look weak at level one and become the map at max. Sun Woo-style summoners are in that group. Do not bench them after one cheap Story stage. Give the upgrade curve a real Infinite before you spend pity on a replacement.
Other carries are front-loaded and then get outscaled. Those are fine as temporary Ground until the featured Mythic lands. Do not pour Perfect Stat Cubes into a temp.
Element checks exist on some portals. A top DPS that is the wrong element still loses. Read the ticket. The events page is where that ticket usually lives.
If two DPS want the same tile, the one that hits air wins the argument on mixed maps. Lane-only damage can sit one tile back.
Element and ticket nights
A top name that is the wrong element on a portal ticket is a flex, not a carry. Read the door. The events page is where those tickets usually live.
If two DPS want the same Hill, the one that also hits air stays. The lane-only card sits one tile back or sits on the bench.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the single best DPS?
There is not one. Own a Hill or Hybrid that hits air and a Ground that holds the lane. That pair beats any lonely Secret.
Should I replace Sun Woo?
Only if you already own a newer Ground carry you have evolved. A built Sun Woo still clears most Story.
Are old S-tier DPS dead?
They are worse value on new banners, not unusable. Keep the evolved copy.
Should I pity a DPS that cannot hit air?
Only if your Hill job is already filled. Mixed maps punish lane-only boards.
